Introduction to MacAdam & Co. ArtTalk
The Internet has given us more news and media than ever, and, through the comments sections, introduced the ability for two-way dialogue. However, instead of improving discussions between people, we’ve been left with explosive soundbites and a reckless swirl of gossip and opinion.
The mission of MacAdam & Co. ArtTalk is to foster genuine dialogue within the art world, with attention to critical thinking, introspection, wit, argument, fun, and building a sense of community. These conversations will be initiated by articles by longtime art critic Barbara MacAdam and guest writers. Art critics, panelists, and general readers will be encouraged to submit written responses to these articles and they will be published alongside the original pieces.
We hope to create a platform for the exchange of ideas and opinions as well as to develop an appreciation of what makes the art world tick.
